    Oh Dear, Bad Dog

Seems it may well have been a doctored video 😒 Lamp standard disappears from the corner in later part of the video. This will happen more and more as AI becomes popular.

Starbucks cracks down on freeloading laptop lurkers who won't leave

They thought the original use of their premises back in 2018 was abuse, hence they called the police, they then changed policy due to bad publicity. Sounds like blowing with the wind to me.

Starbucks cracks down on freeloading laptop lurkers who won't leave

Odd how companies just blow with the wind as to what they feel is good at the time, few years later all change. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/starbucks-reverses-open-door-policy-bathroom-free-b2679796.html Geffers

Carolina reaper fried chicken blows Gary's head off!

I saw him in a video where he and a friend (another eater) attended an Indian restaurant and had a phal. This is another step up from a Vindaloo. Gary struggled like hell over the phal so I'm surprised he went for the 'reaper'. Oddly his mate lapped up what Gary couldn't eat. I was...

Amazon accused of tricking customers into Prime subscriptions

I've twice accidentally subscribed to Prime, never had any issue with cancelling and reimbursement. They are devious though, definitely encourage Prime Membership, and it suits some people.

The common spice found to lower cholesterol and support heart health

There are many supposedly beneficial spices, they certainly can't do any harm. Except maybe chilli 😂

    The Antonov An-225 Mriya thread

What amazes me is how the stress is allowed for. The wings with three engines both sides are supported through the fuselage. The stress on whatever is supported must be enormous. In the air the same joints are supporting the body and the 250 ton payload. Incredible. Geffers

    China overcomes 'Driver Hours'

For years now drivers of heavy vehicles have been restricted as to how many hours they can drive without a break, quite rightly so due to safety reasons. China it appears, using technology, has now developed a system whereby the drivers do not have to take the current mandatory breaks. Video...

Have we lost all Privacy on the Internet?

Are we losing the advantage the internet has given us over the last 30 odd years? Governments are so concerned for their citizens welfare ( ) that they are implementing many safeguards to protect our mental and physical safety. Here is a 20 minute video by Naomi Brockwell suggesting...

    Factory hidden during wartime

Different era, from what I've heard from relatives now passed is that during WW2 people knuckled down, worked together and of course peer pressure to comply. Many amazing secrets kept during wartime. Geffers

London pub introduces "optional" service charge for drinks bought at the bar

This 'tip' business is spreading from US. Viewed some tech online few months back, on ordering a 'tip' was suggested at check out, it was optional but I cancelled the order entirely.

UK government forces backdoor in Apple encryption: this is BAD

Not 100% sure if this was anything to do with the UK's Online Safety Bill (such a misleading title) or some other legislation but apparently the UK Government has dropped its demands that Apple install a 'back door' into user encrypted data. https://x.com/i/trending/1957747844741558325?s=08...

    Factory hidden during wartime

It is amazing the innovation that goes on during times of war and the speed at which tasks get done. I'd never heard of this one but apparently during WW2 the Boeing factory in Seattle was hidden by building a fake town on top of it. Fake, houses, fake trees, fake roads...
