Last March I did a short trip to north-east Greenland, and made These Two Short Films. The view counts prove the influence of YT algorithms over quality as I don't believe these are any better or worse than any other films I've made. But as anyone who knows me will know, I don't give a sh*t either way - it's just an observation. I was lucky enough to be approached by a German TV producer who bought 48 seconds of my footage (some of it was used in my film, some was not) for use in a film he was making about the role of Polar Bear patrols. The documentary was aired on the ARTE channel in German - subtitles are on the ARTE on-demand site. Warhol said we get 15 minutes of fame - I got 48 seconds!
