Hobbyist graphic artist and game designer, brought up in a Sinclair household. SAM Coupé evangelist, Sega Saturn fan, Amiga user... A little embarrassed to own an Atari Jaguar & Jag CD but, hey.
Attached to several aborted games on the SAM Coupé, including Guardian 3 (a Stargate/Defender 2 style game), Deep Scan (a chess game) and Deadly Addiction (a Target: Renegade/Streets of Rage style game). Currently working on a remix of the SAM version of Manic Miner, titled The Lower Caverns and the mysterious 'Project Stowaway'.
Very prone to coming up with half-baked game ideas due to being happily unencumbered with any understanding of programming, with several demos circulating in the public domain (and one or two more not currently out there) serving as ample proof. Pretty sure games don't have to run at 50/60fps to be fun.
Worked on one commercially-published game - Reckless Rufus, a Spectrum conversion of the C64 game originally titled Awesome Dude, written by Mike Berry and released by Alternative Software in 1992.
Long before Let's Plays (or, indeed, YouTube) were a thing, wrote a complete walkthrough to the Konami/Hideo Kojima game Policenauts with the aid of a guide to the bomb-defusing section written by Chris Hoffman, but haven't yet updated it following the release of the English patch.
Collector of TransFormers toys, action figure articulation snob. Worked on the Production side of magazine publishing for about 20 years and have become a bit of a font nerd as a result.
