I’ve only seen the first three seasons of Black Mirror (there are seven), but they were enough to leave a strong impression. The show takes everyday technology and pushes it just a little further, showing how dystopian our future could become. Each episode is a different story that holds no relation to other episodes.

The episode that stood out to me the most is "Nosedive". Here a video that dives deeper into it, questioning if it could really happen, but also just great at explaining the episode itself.

It’s fascinating and scary at the same time. In that world, people rate each other with stars after every interaction. Your social score affects where you live, who you talk to, and how you are treated. Watching it feels uncomfortably familiar. It reflects how, in our own world, likes, followers, and reviews can shape how we see ourselves and others.

What I like about Black Mirror is how simple ideas turn into powerful warnings. It doesn’t feel unrealistic... it feels like something we are already moving toward. That’s what makes it so effective and memorable.

But if you can, and could use some chills down your spine, watch Black Mirror for yourself.
