Do you think Chrome will follow this? I have a feeling Google won't push the feature. Firefox might for sure, but Google loves its personal data and has done much worse itself than port scanning.

Yes, I believe that they might well do it. It's one thing to track people with cookies, which can technically be rejected, but quite another to do a port scan on the quiet. I can quite easily see a law being created to make this illegal along with other similar behaviours.

I reckon Firefox will do this before Chrome though.
