Lady with heart of gold spends £12k to rescue two stray cats

A cat-lover who used her £12,000 house deposit to bring two strays back to the UK after a holiday has said it was "100% worth it".

Kelly Walker, 43, of Mapplewell, Barnsley, fell in love with Harriet and Delilah when she was holidaying in Turkey in November 2020.

The salon owner then started putting plans in place to bring them home with her, using the money she was going to spend on buying a house.

She said the 11-month journey had been "emotional".

The stray cats were brought to Barnsley after vet treatment in Turkey allowed them to travel.

Googled to see any updates to this wonderful story, couldn't find anything, but I am sure the kitties are safe with their loving mum.
This story is so unique to be almost unbelievable; gives you that warm feeling that all is not lost, there is still some good in this world.
