What a hero! Check out how he did it, too.

Imagine being in fear of attack and serious injury every time you walked out the door? The attacks were getting so bad and went on for so long that there was talk of killing the bird, which nobody wanted. I'm so glad this ended well.

Harris the hawk.webp

Great job by Steve Harris, he has restored the safety of the local residents, and quite possibly the life of the hawk itself since killing the bird was starting to become a possibilty to consider to end the attacks.

It's a telling example of how nature and humans sometimes clash with one another. The (predatory) bird is just following its instincts and humans of course don't like to be attacked all the time. I get it from both sides. Luckily Steve's ingenuity by throwing a cage over the hawk provided a peaceful solution.

I do wonder what will happen with the hawk, as this is not mentioned in the article. It is going to be released again, but in a different and less populated area?

So lovely to see that people were not after blood, and were reluctant to haves the bird euthanized.
From the picture it seems that Steve Harris, the chap that have caught the hawk, is now holding him?
At least that is what it looks like from the caption under the photo: "Harris and the feathered perpetrator no longer perpetrating". ?

🦅 This is really a good story with a very good ending indeed 🦅
