Have cats got any emotions at all? Guy really puts himself out to rescue cat from water, his only thanks is the satisfaction of knowing he done the right thing.

I'm glad to know cats can swim. Nice to see a rescue. That cat didn't say "thank you" in some kind of cat language as it ran off though.

Unfortunately, most times animals don't realise that they are being helped, so run away like this. At least this ended well.

What that cat needed afterwards was a good bath to get that polluted water off it, dried off, a checkup at the vet for any hidden injuries or infections and then fed and watered, but I doubt it got any of that.
