I am looking at a new phone, the only downside is the screen res is less than my current 6 year old phone, the one I am considering is 1600x720 on a 6.6" display.

Twin sim, 5G, 128GB memory and can take an SD card for memory expansion, camera apparently does FULL HD and it makes phone calls.

£70 cheaper than one I was looking at which has 2400x1080 screen res but no expandable memory.

Will screen res be an issue on a mobile phone?

Yes. I wouldn't go less than Full HD. Especially at that size, you're really gonna notice the low resolution, especially when trying to read text; you'll hate it.

This must be a budget phone? What make and model is it?

The latest Google Pixel might be a good investment, especially as Google has promised a long lifetime of updates. Not cheap though at £700.

Or dare I suggest you go over to the Dark Side: Apple?! 😮 (cue ominous music)
