Some may have seen this already, but it is by far the best documentary I have seen that really gives the historical perspective of how we got from the a mysterious quantity called "energy" through to all of modern physics, and E=mc^2.
It is laid out in a logical order, showing all the major hystorical steps. It really puts into perspective just how recently we discovered all of this modern physics.
