After this you will never eat McDonald's again (probably)

I'll be honest: I like how some of their items taste. Especially the Big Mac and the McChicken. But we all know that it's bad. You just don't know how bad until you have seen this video.

It's basically heroin what they put in their food. Nah, just kidding, they don't do that. They put stuff in their food that can be found in yoga mats. Now I'm not kidding.

Now let's see how many of you would actually stop eating that crap.

Yeah, that's pretty bad, isn't it? Probably the worst warning video on McDonald's I've ever seen. At least some ingredients like hydrogenated oil and high fructose corn syrup aren't allowed in the UK... yet. I'm sure all the other things go on at every McDonald's though.

On the other hand, I've eaten at McDonald's hundreds of times and never had food poisoning. I just don't eat there too often.

btw, while that channel stops the video embedding preview, the link to the video is still there with the underlined "Watch on YouTube". When you click it, it simply opens another tab and the video plays there.

As have I, but those hundreds of times were over a span of four decades. If I were to compress all the Maccas I have been eating into a single year, then I'm not too sure if I'd be in the same relatively good shape as I am today. And that's the thing, many people, especially across the big pond, make this their staple food and will eat it that much. They are in terrible shape. After having seen this video it is no wonder why, and it goes well beyond just excess calories.

Oh yeah, eating it all the time is a ticket to an early grave.

Unfortunately, just about all food has had something bad done to it, even the supposedly healthy stuff in the supermarket. One just can't get away from it, but at least the worst of it can be minimised.

Yep. Processed foods generally are pretty bad, and while I have no scientific data to back this up, in my perception the quality of our food is just getting worse and worse each and every year. The very same products that I am eating for years just aren't the same as they used to be.

I'll admit that I warm up some processed slop at times (for example: frozen pizza), especially after a long and hard day of work, but if I can bring myself up to it I generally try to use real ingredients: potatoes, rice, fresh veggies, and so on. Meat is a bit trickier, because they do a lot of funny stuff to that as well. I end up going for the more organic options, though in practice I have become more of a pescatarian. 🐟

As long as people keep buying this crap, they will churn it out.
Plant based food, yogurts, kefir, generally whole food, is the ticket.
It takes some getting used to, but once we understand the harm processed foods do, it is easier to stay away.
