Annoying HTTPS

I am running a cloud web server, whilst setting up an ssl connection I need to check the basic html port 80 site, every time I enter the address in Firefox it defaults to https - In settings I have the force https turned off. I have tried clearing cache, still goes to https.

The only way I can do it is to enter the actual IP address so it must be some caching issue. Apparently Firefox has a reload option (press shift and reload), still enters https in the address bar.

Anyone any tips?

Was HSTS set up for the site at any point? If so, that will tell Firefox “always use HTTPS for this site” until the max age expires.

To be honest I am not sure.

Being a cloud server I was just experimenting with creating an https site using lets encrypt, initially worked but then had issues when I tried checking the same site on port 80

On my home web server (only used for listing and playing videos) I have ssl for use to WAN but on the LAN I use unencrypted http server to view video content on KODI.
