I'm super convinced now that my yard isn't safe from any bobcats after seeing that cat leap out of that bricked hole area. I'll be "bolo" (on the look out) more than ever now for bobcats. OMG!

Thanks for posting this thread ATT, but I've moved it to Serious Animals because of the first video where the cat was clearly in distress until he managed that huge leap and got out.

Ah yeah, I see watcha mean! The first video wasn’t funny at all

If it was done as a deliberate prank to the cat however, throwing it into that hole for a laugh and to test its reaction (with a ladder as a last resort rescue plan of course), would it find it hilarious entertainment to watch the challenge or cruel to witness the distress?

We'll never know if it was deliberately thrown in there, which is obviously cruelty and not something I'd feature on here ever, but it's certainly possible as cats are very agile creatures and unlikely to fall in. However, the silly things are quite likely to sit on the very edge and look around at the world, unaware of the danger they're in.

I wouldn't post a video like that. If you're ever unsure, just let me see it privately first and I'll let you know.

I was trying to show the impressive agility of the cat! But yeah, I see your point of view! Sorry about that. Would it be possible to split off the thread, so the serious video and corresponding posts thread moved to “Cat moves out of hole”, and then move cat tricks to funny animals?
