Yay, it works!

There are many synthwave streams on YouTube. Most of them are alright. But my favorite, by far, is this one. Their selection refreshes constantly, and as the artist and track name is projected on the bottom left of the screen, it is a great way to discover tracks. This is how I have discovered Aries Beats - Night Ride, for example.

The endless stream of short animations makes it also visually very pleasing. Altogether it sets for a dreamy atmosphere, and lately I've been playing this mostly at night, just when I am about to sleep, letting it run until the early morning. Without a doubt it has been improving my sleep significantly as this stream slowly but surely refuels my soul.

Which is something that is very much needed. I do work hours that aren't really natural. 4 a.m. is when I get up. The company I work for is doing record numbers, and we are chronically understaffed, we can't really keep up. At this time, without any indication whatsoever when it might change, there is zero energy and zero inspiration available to make any Hitcore music videos, nearly all physical and mental resources are allocated for work. I dream about boxes and pallets ffs.

This stream is pretty much the only consistent thing in my life now that keeps me in touch with creativity.

This is different, nice chillout electronica.

Props, this is the first time anyone's posted a live stream on NZ.

I used to listen to di.fm quite a few years back before they went all paywally. They've got so many streams over there, freemium model I believe, but restricted without paying the sub. Still worth checking out though.

I'm sorry that your job is stifling your creativity and encroaching unreasonably into your personal life. I hope the situation improves for you, especially with more staff to take that unreasonable load off your back.

Ah, and do you also dream of beeps?! 😮 You know, those ones the forklift makes when reversing?

Nice with di.fm, even though they've paywalled it, it's still a good way to discover new tracks.

Our forklifts' warning signals are visual. Instead of beeps they project blue lights onto the floor to the direction of where they're going, as illustrated below, also when going reverse.

It works pretty well, so no beeping there. However, I have to scan each item, and my scanner... yes, that beeps! 🙉

Oh well. 4:09, I better get going. TTYL!

Edit 5:30.... another day in paradise
