Hydrogen powered cars and other devices using it were touted as a great way to combat climate change since the only byproduct of hydrogen combustion is water. However, the problem is how to make it, which isn't so green after all, so mankind is still searching for a solution. Quite depressing really.

Physicist Sabine Hossenfelder explains it all in another well researched video.

Replacing fossil fuel with hydrogen seems like an ideal solution to make transportation environmentally friendly and to provide a backup for intermittent energy sources like solar and wind. But how environmentally friendly is hydrogen really? And how sustainable is it, given that hydrogen fuel cells rely on supply of rare metals like platinum and iridium? In this video, we have collected all the relevant numbers for you.

The climate is always changing, no matter how hard we try controlling people in the wrong way nothing will stop it.

The point is that the world is heating up so fast, which is caused by man made activity, that is now proven. We're actually due a mini ice age about now, so if the natural cycle had been a temperature increase, we'd probably have all been dead soon.

I seriously doubt a mini ice age would be better. Nobody likes the cold. Gotta remember that heaters also pollute.

I'm just making the point that globs warming is even worse when we take this into account.
