Looking for a Fatal1ty keyboard

Hey everyone,

I couldn't find a 'For sale' or 'Wanted' section so i'm just throwing this in here.. I’m searching to find a Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Keyboard for a 2006/2007 Fatal1ty-themed PC build for a YouTube project. I have everything else, and the keyboard is the last major piece I'm missing. Aside from a Fatal1ty mouse pad.. If anyone has one they’d be willing to part with — even if it’s been sitting in a box for years — I’d love to get in contact. I've posted in Reddit, X, Facebook groups & put videos on YouTube.. I've emailed someone in Egypt who said they had one 4 years ago - contacted YouTubers from 17 year old videos - 'bought' one from a scam website (fully refunded) with a cloned shipping code posting to Modesto.. It's enough for it's own video!

Worth a shot?

Regards,

Fred

I've got a Creative Titanium Fatal1ty sound card. I'd actually ordered the lower end Creative card from Amazon Marketplace, the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium PCIe, but got that Fatal1ty card instead, so can't complain. It has a fantastic sound. Only issue is that Creative stopped supporting it with drivers long ago, so it was glitchy on Windows 10, often descending into very obvious, ragged distortion after some random time, quite unlistenable. I'd have to restart the PC to make it go away for a while. Disabling Fast Startup stabilised it, but not completely. Not tried it on W11 yet since I upgraded to the 14900K and a new motherboard and using the onboard Realtek sound which is a bit rubbish in some ways tbh. Who knows, the Creative might actually work better on it.

I hope you find your keyboard. That PC is a collectors item and something to keep forever, even if it dies at some point.

Thanks, I think I had a look at that at the time, but it didn't help. I'll keep it in mind though if it doesn't work with W11.

At the moment, I'm stuck on W11 build 23H2 as every time I try to upgrade it, it goes through the motions, but then shows an error message and rolls it back. I've done quite a lot of troubleshooting, but to no avail, so I've decided to just bite the bullet and install it clean when I get some time to do it. This PC is my daily driver, so I can't afford to have it out of action. Thankfully it's still very reliable even with this out of date build. Once, I've clean installed 25H2, then I'll try my Fatal1ty card again and let you know how I get on with it.

Been doing a bit of searching for that keyboard for you, but no luck either. I did discover however, that it came out in 2006. As it's almost 20 years old and there aren't any real, proper reviews of it, I imagine that it wasn't very popular at the time which makes it as rare as hen's teeth now, unfortunately. Judging by some forum comments, it wasn't an especially good product, hence likely why it wasn't popular.

Hope you manage to beat the odds and find one. I totally get the desire to make a branded PC like you're doing. Total collectors item and very rare. Heck, that thing would be likely to appreciate in value over time regardless of how useless it becomes as a daily driver as it drifts completely out of date with modern standards.

looked that up and yeah, that's the most unusual looking keyboard I've ever seen. I think it might be worth buying and reviewing it even apart from a stand-in for the Fatal1ty keyboard.

He doesn't have any of this stuff any more. His manager had boxed retail samples of one of everything though, and sold them all years ago on eBay. They went on to form the https://globaltechit.com/ collection. I tracked down the guy running the site and we got into a decent conversation about Fatal1ty gear.. then I've had no word from him since Nov 1st. He has some spares of this and that, and 4 keyboards including prototypes - maybe he has spare ones? I don't want to bombard him with further messages - sends the wrong message. He's essentially my last hope!
