Everyone rightly associates Nakamichi with extremely high quality cassette decks as they were phenomenal. Unfortunately, this quality came at a very high price and unfortunately, together with the advent of the CD in 1982, the only way for them was down. Still, they hung on until 2002 and made some great products for the rest of the 80s. I can relate to this chasing of the best quality possible though, just a shame it didn't make good business sense. Respect to the engineers behind that quality.
