Seeing a video from 1993 - a full 30 years ago - in Full HD (1920 x 1080) is surreal. At the time, it had to be stored on VHS tape as hard discs were in no way big enough to handle the huge files this camera generated. I'm not even sure if all of them even had the bandwidth to stream the files.

We've come so far in 30 years that we now take stuff like this for granted. Our modern DVRs can store literally weeks of this on their HDDs now and we've even got 4 times this resolution (UHD 3840 x 2160) available as a commercial product with a Sky subscription, streaming etc. Heck, we even have smartphones that can record in 4K & 8K and it's not even exciting anymore. It's easy to take for granted the technological progress that's been made. I just wish they'd have developed and released it sooner since as you can see, it's a world away from the blurred and grainy VHS pictures of the time. Note how the picture still isn't as sharp as a modern FHD camera though as CCD technology wasn't as good back then.
