Worth keeping this in mind. In particular, when picking up the phone, don't say anything, let the caller speak first. This will prevent the scammer from cloning your voice for nefarious purposes.

I had one offering me a discount on my O2 mobile contract once. The funniest thing was that he persisted with his "offer" when I told him I don't have an O2 contract and told him to fuck off as I knew he was a scammer. What a klutz. I got quite offensive to him before he finally rage quit on me. I guess he was a trainee and / or desperate to make his quota lol.
