Science writing sucks more than you think

Ever read a science news story in the media and thought that the reporting wasn't quite right? Perhaps can't put your finger on exactly why? Well, Sabine lists many examples of how these publications get it wrong and this includes established science mags like Scientific American. She's a scientist with an established reputation so you can trust what she has to say.

My pet peeve when Googling a subject, whether for science or anything else is the undated article. Imagine if these forum posts didn't have dates on them, especially the thread starter like this one. Having a date makes a big difference for context. This one is discussed in the video, thankfully.
