Only 50 Handley Page Dart Heralds were ever made, there's only 4 left in existence and 3 are in museums, so having this piece of history, registration G-CEXP, wasting away is a big shame. Looks in good condition too, should scrub up nicely with a really good clean and I hope it's saved.

A classic plane dating back to the 1950s is in danger of being scrapped unless £60,000 can be raised to restore it. The Handley Page Dart Herald, which last flew in 1994, is currently decaying in a field at the perimeter of Gatwick Airport - but a charity called the UK Heritage Aviation Trust (UKHAT) is trying to preserve it and have it moved to a museum.
