And she was completely clueless about it, of course. Absolutely no idea what she'd done, bless. ❤️

Even when she was 12 years old, Daisy was mischievous and full of energy – you never knew what she was going to get up to next.

But I never imagined the havoc that she would wreak one cold November day while I was out at work; havoc that could have had tragic – and fatal – consequences.

This isn't Daisy, but a related cat called Toby who looks very similar... and is completely innocent!

I'm so glad this story had a happy ending and the sheer missed fate blessed her daughter from a terrible tragedy. I was sad to read her dog was sick though. Just goes to show that it's not enough to "baby proof a house" but "pet proofing" a house is also very necessary for pet safety too.

I'd have taken the dog to the vet and then a walk. All that gas inhalation must have felt really horrible.

I know, me too, I felt really bad for that dog. I hope the dog is okay and there isn't any lasting effects from the gas exposure.
