Yes, it's the supernova and it can kill us at a distance of 100 light years or more! That's a distance of 5.879e+14 miles or more, a number bigger than anyone can comprehend. Hence, we don't have words to even begin to describe a bang that powerful. It's basically a really really big bomb.
