I heard on the weather channel that Arizona (west of Texas) is sending us (Texan's) some really hot temps. Tomorrow will be 100F+ for many in Texas. This is record breaking temps for May. I'm not ready for summer at all!

Oh my, @Tiffany . That's VERY hot! Good luck with finding some cool, hope your AC is running well.

As for here, it's sunny, it's warm, but not too warm. For the next couple of weeks it's around 20°C/70°F here. Pretty much the most perfect spring ever!

So I won't be online as much. Gonna do some hiking and bicycling! 🤠

Weather has been on the warm side over here over the past week or so, around 25c. Some downpours have helped to stop it spiralling, too. I have a feeling we're gonna get a hot summer though.

@Hitcore Our AC works pretty good, but I think our upstairs AC unit didn't like today's temps. 🙃 It hasn't been able to keep up at all. Enjoy your perfect weather, hiking and bicycling! :)

@Retro These temps scare me too since it's still early May. Today was dog washing day. I used the warm weather to wash them outside in the backyard so they can run around and do the things dogs want to do when they are full of soap. I put a big umbrella up to shade me though, lol. ⛱️

Soooo... the heat from last Wednesday broke my AC unit upstairs by Thursday. A crew came out Friday to replace the whole thing. While all of this drama was going on, our state along with other states were facing a multi-day severe weather outbreak beginning last Friday. St. Louis Missouri and London, Kentucky, really got hit hard by severe tornadoes and damage, including loss of life; heartbreaking.

Last night we had a super cell coming our way, so it was all hands on deck for about an hour until luckily, the cell got absorbed in the bigger storm, and turned NE. Today is the last day of bad weather in the forecast. We're expecting another fun evening of watching the radar and hoping the forecast is way off. 😶‍🌫️

I hope April showers has brought everyone May flowers. How's everybody's weather this week?

Sorry to hear you're going through extreme weather again Tiffs, with all those negative consequences. Hopefully, it's going to fade and not be so bad now. Please let us know how it goes.

Our weather is all better today, nice and sunny. It's been a crazy week. In tornado ally, the Tennessee Valley and the Ohio Valley, those are the areas/state groups most affected by the changing spring weather but the North East can get it too. I think a nor'easter is blowing through the North Eastern states today. Once we get into June, most of this extreme severe weather passes in exchange for the hurricane season where most of your southern coastal states have to be mindful of the weather. Usually, by the end of May, folks take time to check their roofs thoroughly, unless they've already had roof damage from spring storms.

We are good for the rest of the week as far as I can tell. Yay🎉

I'm so glad it's improved and I hope it stays that way for you.

Not much to report about our weather. A bit on the warm side as we're entering summer, but nothing too hot. Yet...

@Hitcore wish you a fun break! :)

Thank you, I've spent my time well, almost two weeks of sunshine without it being too hot, so I was outside a lot. Lovely.
Since the past few days it has been raining, for which I am also glad, because the vegetation around here was getting thirsty. And now I don't mind being indoors on the computer a bit more again. 🤓

Best wishes for your future planning, @Hitcore! :)

I second the "hand's shaking without a computer" @Retro ;)

We were hammered with storms over the weekend with lots of wind and rain. Our power kept going on and off Saturday night for hours. 😵‍💫 Needless to say, not much sleep. I unplugged my computers when the storms first wave started. I think second to heat causing computer damage, it has to be power fluctuations. I do have good AVR's though, but I like to be extra careful.

Flipping heck, that would really unsettle me.

You're right to unplug your computers. If a lightning strike hit a power line, the massive surge would blow apart any mains protection circuit you have there.

Did you all get through it unscathed, then?

Yeah, "flipping heck", for sure. It was very unsettling and kept us up most of the night. Glad to hear I was thinking right in unplugging my computers. I've lost too many over the years. :(

We got through it okay, thanks for asking,:) just lots of debris everywhere and we were super tired. We still haven't checked our roof. We usually wait it out until the beginning of June as May is usually the worst spring month for severe storms.

A heatwave was forecast for the UK starting yesterday and it certainly feels like it's started. Not unbearably hot right now and my fan is effective enough to do its job for now, but for how long?

Winter may be my season, but I also welcome this weather. I actually love the Four Seasons, as each one has its uniqueness.
