The warmest it has been this summer so far in Denmark is 27C. Next week there is another day where it will be 27C. It hardly gets warmer than that here (only very seldomly). Most other days are just 20C.

I never understood why people go to Spain or Portugal in the summer when they think that the UK is already too hot. Consider Scandinavia instead. 😉

Yeah, went to Portugal couple years ago, and the problem is you can’t predict weather weeks in advance - we weren’t to know of the heatwave! Never again, I told my family, will I be going abroad in UK summer!

Wow, the floods in Texas are really awful :( @Tiffany my old friend please check in here so that we know you’re safe 🩷

A Christian camp got washed away! At least many have survivors in spite of some having gone missing! The survivors’ guilt must be real man, and I sure hope those missing will be found!

Hey y'all and @Hitcore and @AllThingsTech... thanks for the shout out! Our family is okay. We've had some weird weather and downpours for July, which is totally not normal, but nothing like what happened to those poor people in Kerrville, Texas. Such a great tragedy and so heartbreaking... such a great loss of children and adults. I went to church camp in that area when I was in Jr. High. It's as beautiful as people say it is... lots of rolling hills, rivers, trees, pastures with horses and cattle and a general feel of time that stopped a long time ago. Thanks for thinking of me everyone. 😇

I'm gently roasting at home now, even with the fan on, bless. ❤️ Gonna have to switch off the PC soon as it kicks out significant heat when the room is this warm. I'd let you all know what the temperature is right now, but I've lost my little digital thermometer.

Don't worry, I'll still be here on my iPhone, but it's way more fiddly posting with that, so will do so less.

30C in London today. Roasting but thankfully only gently roasting. Monday and Tuesday last week were 34C, a big difference. And trust, above 30C every degree makes quite the difference!

It does feel like 30C at my desk.

I only pin very few threads tbh. They have to meet some nebulous criteria that I feel makes them worth pinning.

No, not Nebulous the user you numpty! You've tagged him for nothing now. Or are you winding me up?

I'm talking about some ill-defined criteria for pinning threads. Basically, does it feel right to me.

I’m not sure it’s taking the piss or anything, either. It’s a shame we don’t always share the same sense of humour! I thought the tagging may inadvertently bring back old members, boosting activity on your forum, so no harm done imo but you may feel differently 🙂

Yup, global warming. Not happening, sigh.

Today already feels hotter than yesterday 😩
BBC forecast has gone up from 30C to a friggin’ 32C in the marathon of a day! 😭

It’s 25C at the moment and I’m not looking forward to the day going on !!! 🤦‍♀️

If only I didn't have work, I could sunbathe!!! 🌞🛌🥱

Totally agree, global warming is 'fake news'.

Next: fake news or not, it certainly is heating up in our neck of the woods; grass in the garden all yellow and dry. Yet some plants still survive. They are called 'weeds', I just see them as survivors.

Gas board is laying new gas pipes in our road, lots of digging.....this morning a massive truck was parked in front of our garage; the men removed it immediately and apologised, we said no need to apologise, and they said this part of the road is their favorite, as it is shaded by the large trees growing in our garden, and this is where they take their breaks and rest.
Oh I liked this, it made me love my trees even more🌳🌲, for giving the guys some respite from the heat.

Thanks y'all for the nice messages and @Retro pinning Nerdzones Weather Zone thread😇

@Mars love that your trees are shading those hard working men putting in new gas pipes! 👷‍♂️

We are unusually cooler for July with occasional pop up storms but still in the mid 90's (F) and upper 90's (F). I'll take it though. I don't feel like dashing from one tree to another to get out of the sun when I'm outside with my dogs lol.

It looks like Texas's typical hot summer by July is coming in now with hotter temps and without rain for some cooling and just cloudless skies with hot sun. Blah!!

Sorry you all are heating up so much in the UK. That much heat can get pretty uncomfortable especially if you have a lot of humidity. Hard also, when your computer puts out so much heat in a room. I hope there's a turning point in your temps around the corner to give you all a break.

....And then there's our southwestern states....hang in there @live627
