I didn't know about the El Nino forecast. Especially it being a 'super' one (whatever it means?) it stands to reason that it will surely affect the weather here.

I looked up a description for a Super El Nino and found the following:

A potential "super El Niño" is forecasted for 2026, with ocean temperatures in the equatorial Pacific projected to rise more than \(2^{\circ}C\) (\(3.6^{\circ}F\)) above average, potentially leading to the strongest event in 140 years. Expected by summer or fall, this climate phenomenon typically brings severe droughts to Southeast Asia and Australia, while causing extreme rainfall and flooding in the Southern US and parts of South America.

I actually didn't know the point to point phenomenon of a super El Nino effect until I looked it up myself. I suppose this more affects us in the America's in the way of more rain and severe drought, however, since an El Nino effect blocks hurricanes in some circumstances because of the wind shear it causes, then perhaps your land across the pond with have a little less severe weather this summer and fall since there will be less activity in the Atlantic ocean?

El Nino (the boy) causes more wind shear , less hurricanes, and the Pacific Ocean is warmer than normal, La Nina (the girl) has less wind shear, cooler temps in the Pacific Ocean across central America and hurricanes are likely to survive as they develop are make their way across the Caribbean.

I bet your strawberries are super delicious! 😇🍓
