What’s the weirdest/silliest/funniest dream you’ve experienced?

Threads isn't a horror movie in the conventional sense (no zombies or monsters), but it’s absolutely one of the most horrifying films ever made. It’s a hyper-realistic depiction of how a nuclear attack would devastate a city (Sheffield) and the long-term collapse of society afterward.

Sadly the young girl who played Ruth's daughter near the end of the film lost her life, just a few years after. She was only in her 20s IIRC :-(

I saw a bit of it the other day and it was very bleak. I didn't find it scary though.

I don't get the title. Something related to a nuclear holocaust would seem more appropriate than Threads, which just seems random to me.

The title refers to the Threads of society being totally destroyed. The first minute explains this while a spider spins a web

It's the 1940s. Most of Europe is at war with Germany. There is intel that the nazis will invade and perhaps bomb our town within a few days. We don't really have an army, but we do the best we can and those few days we use to train and prepare for what's coming. Then the day comes. As inexperienced soldiers with whatever random rifles we hold we wait for the enemy. There they are. Planes fill the sky. But they aren't releasing bombs. Our weapons also don't fire. What's going on?
Then countless Hindenburg-styled zeppelins approach. They are carrying a giant church and they lower and place the church on our town square. Everybody is baffled. Then the doors of the church open. Out come Captain Mainwaring, René Artois, and Jaap Kooiman. They get up on a double decker bus with an open top and look at us weekend soldiers. Their announcement:
"The war has been cancelled. Good day."
And the bus with them on it drives off.

Me and my fellow soldiers look at each other like wtf just happened? Slowly everyone scatters off into different directions, most are going home. One soldier invites me to come along with him.
"Are you hungry? I know a place that just opened with great Asian food."
Alright, I could eat, so I follow him. We end up at something called "Oliver's". An actual real-life mate of mine. There Oliver is, wearing a tuxedo, looking ridiculously sharp. He greets us with a smile and asks us why we are dressed up as low budget soldiers. We answer that there was a war going on today if only ever so briefly, and that we have been training for days, which was tiresome. Oliver laughs, because he didn't even get the memo and he has just been chilling the last couple of days. Barsteward. I end up getting a free Coca Cola.

New (creepy) dream just dropped:

I'm at work but it's night. My boss doesn't know that I'm there. It's pitch black, both in the warehouse and outside. I am looking out through the small window of a rolling door as I hear a garbage truck, picking up the containers of flattened cardboard boxes I've placed out there earlier. I hear the truck and the trash compactor, but I don't see it, not even the headlights. Eventually the sounds fade away. The garbage truck is like me: it's there but not visibly. Maybe the truck doesn't fully exist. Maybe I don't fully exist either. I continue to just stand there in the dark. Absolutely nothing happens, there is nothing even to look at, no sound. Just black. It's peaceful.

The dark has always had a calming effect on me, even as a kid. In my experience the most unpleasant situations happen in the middle of the day, in broad daylight, when normies are at their most active and most feel the need to assert oneself. At night all the bollocks of daily life doesn't happen so much. People are either asleep then, or just stay within their containment zone watching Netflix. My world is a better place when it is dark. Therefore: the darker the better.
