So much of our online presence is now recorded, where we go, what sites we visit, our likes and dislikes. Most of the time this does not affect us other than to mysteriously get adverts that are of recent interest.

However, sometimes it goes wrong. I've had the tax office chase me for extra tax thinking I had made some profitable investment only for them to have the completely wrong name. Cause me some considerable work with no recompense from them. This was some years back before the internet was as manic as it is now.
