Worrying censorship

My "guess" is if they went after Google, Google's fancy dancy, high-priced shysters... err... lawyers would have had it thrown out before it even went before a judge - and then it never would have received any publicity or shed any light on the real problem of illegal filesharing/pirating.

And my hope is if Quad9 does go down as collateral damage that Sony bails them out or fairly compensates them. But, I may be dreaming there.

It will be a sad day if Quad9 goes down. Hope the Swiss government steps in. Sony bailing them out? That is wishful thinking, alas.

I'm not here for one day and look at this amazing conversation in this thread. I will take more time to read and process comments as I'm really interested in this topic. There's been way too much censorship in the US. Just a quick reference to the US Restrict Act that @Uncrowned mentioned, I'm on the same page. I've been looking at it from all angles and it's freaking terrifying.
