This amazing drug really works at helping people to lose significant amounts of weight. Note that it comes under three different brand names, Wegovy, Ozempic and Rybelsus, only the first two of which are covered in Sabine's video, but it's all the same stuff with all the same effects. It comes in injection (ouch!) and pill form.
It was approved by the American FDA in 2021 and the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in 2022, so it's new as far as drugs go. Demand, unsurprisingly, is through the roof making its creator, Novo Nordisk, huge profits.
