I've seen this video before....omg...he can't be too bad of a burglar if he likes dogs that much. 
I haven't seen the rest of the video before though. That was interesting. I don't think my dogs would perform well. My pom's would bark a lot and my Chihuahua would sit quietly on the couch and watch.

We had a Chow Chow many years ago... he was a true guard dog. I've been in the presence of two well trained dobermans at some friends house. They were stunning, but I stayed guarded anyway.
You're real guard dogs are the German Shepards, Chows and Rottweilers. I was next to a Rott at my vets one time, I was terrified. Huge dog. I saw a Rott years ago chained in the back of a truck with a spike collar. That was a killer dog, you could tell... snarly teeth and demonic barking. I was glad I was safely in my car.

Labrador as a Guard Dog, there's an oxymoron but here's a clip of a Lab actually being used as a guard dog, I did chuckle when I saw this.
It is a clip from a BBC documentaries on Indian railways and they were referring to the theft of coal and measures taken to prevent this.
