It's got James Nesbitt in the lead role, who's a master of the gritty drama. He was also in Lucky Man, which was very good.

Actual thoughts on the series: Bloodlands * pulls a deus ex machina at the end. Though for its strengths, it has a protagonist of questionable morality that drew me into the show to begin with, and doesn't adhere to cliche a lot.

If that warning doesn't put you off then I'd highly recommend giving it a check out.
