Thanks for the tip. I still had a hosting plan leftover that is paid up for a couple years after selling my site so I figured I'd do something with it. This blog is pretty fun, going to stick with it.

@Nebulous Yeah, my Saturday worked out pretty well, yesterday. Watched some football (soccer in American), visited a friend and watched this decent movie below on Netflix. On top of that, @Astro What suggested a killer replacement domain, discussiondock.com, that I've now registered and has really helped with my rebranding efforts.

At the time the .ZONE domains came out, grabbing NERD.ZONE would have been ideal. Short, punchy and distinct. But now that it has been out a while (as many of the other more niche TLD's), the good short ones have been grabbed up by speculators and can be yours for the right amount of cha-ching.

Yes, it is. Popular in Germany and the Benelux countries. That bottle there is actually very small. Like shot sized bottles.



The taste of it is a bit of a mix of vodka, I'd say, with something sweet and a slight hint of herbs.

I am the type of person who has to fully commit to something and running my busy forum was interfering with my (offline) life. I was neglecting relationships, being very sedentary / not exercising very much, staying up too late and being tired at work, not walking or playing with my dogs as much as they deserve, etc. Even when I was offline and trying to do those things I mentioned I would be on my phone constantly checking the forum to make sure everything was okay. It was all getting to be a bit too much and I realized that the "regular member" role is better for me, so thats what I'll be. I'll cheer on whoever wants to run a forum, but I don't want to run one myself.

Thats the place. I sold it a while back. Then the person who bought it sold it to someone else. So its had 3 different owners in the last year or so (if you include me). I wonder if that has affected activity because it seems much slower paced these days. I am happy that someone is keeping the lights on though.
