There was a sound amplification addon (the "Samplifier" - I didn't name it!) which used the lightpen socket.
Not much use these days as would need CRT to work.

To be fair, my father wired up a DIN-to-3.5mm jack adaptor so I could plug in either headphones or external speakers so, yeah, it wasn't completely unused. Not too disappointed about the lightpen to be honest, though... I'd had a couple, I think, on the Speccy, and they really didn't work very well...

Maybe possible to wire up that HDMI interface to the lightpen port for the audio and perhaps enough power to replace the need for a USB power supply. If so, would be quite a good use.
