Everyone, here's an update on what I'm doing in the background with the forum.

The rebrand is still on, but is taking an extended time to actually happen due to various factors, unfortunately. The new domain was settled on some time ago and won't be changing: oldskoolforums.com. I especially like that it goes with my username of Retro. It currently redirects to here. In the meantime, I continue to make small changes to the forum over time, some visible and some under the hood. Here are some of them:
  • Your Hobbies & Interests has been renamed to Hobbies & Interests to better reflect the content of that section. I've updated the description and might update it further.
  • I've updated the description of the Toys'n'Tech section to better reflect its content.
  • I've deleted some themes. These were ones that I'd obtained as part of the rebrand, but am not ready to deploy them, were out of date systemwise and never configured properly, ie very much betas. I expect that they'll return eventually, properly configured.
  • The posts per day under a user's avatar stopped working with the latest XenForo update - just shows 0.00 for everyone. A fix is in the works for this and the presentation will be improved, too.
There have been various other small changes, but these are the main ones to know about for now.

If you notice any technical issues with the site or just want to make suggestions for improvement, please post them here:

Oh yeah, one more: square corners. I've gotten rid of the little round corners everywhere so that they're proper sharp-edged corners, like they should be. I don't get the current trend of rounding off corners everywhere like with the iPhone, iPad, Windows 11 and more. I think the forum looks so much nicer this way.

For a retro type site, square would be called "in".
But modern time has been a more rounded nature for years and has become the de-facto standard.
I recently redid my logo and it uses rounded corners. Still need to do some more tweaking on it though on feathering the edges.

Indeed, remember that NZ will be rebranded to OldSkoolForums so square corners are very much appropriate and my username is perfect for it.

Even if I wasn't rebranding, I much prefer square corners so would have set them anyway. I don't care to follow current fashion, I'll set it the way I like.

I'm with Astro on rounded. However, I totally respect your reasoning for wanting square. It's all Groovy - dude - GrOOOOOvy man! :) ok maybe I'm more of a nerd than a square but either way, I can be me here and so :P
