It has been a while. There are reasons. In fact, the subject of this video is that very reason. I will tell all about it at a later point. For now: get yourself ready because this video is going in premiere! Much like @petermarkley did two days ago with his most recent video, I figured: why the heck not, let's see how this works out. It's a first for me, so hopefully it won't be bumpy. But as it looks like now, the premiere function on YouTube does its thing, and it is set on the following time, depending on where you live:

• 8:00 PM (20:00) Central Europe
• 7:00 PM (19:00) United Kingdom
• 2:00 PM (14:00) US East Coast

In other words, the premiere will be roughly 5 hours from now. I invite you all to watch at that time, and perhaps have a chat. I will answer any questions you may have.

For now I can say: this video is something that I really needed to get out of my system. It's gritty and dark. But there is light.

It was interesting to create anime with the Hailuo I mentioned in the other thread. I always enjoy trying new stuff, to make my videos diverse. And the beefy 80s electronic music fits!
Right now I'm too cooked to write a proper article, but I want to go deeper on why and how I came up with all this.

The premiere gizmo was nice to try, but next time I'll just upload and publish directly again. A premiere would work better if I get more subscribers and viewers in the future. Though it was quite cozy with you and Peter!

So here are the final words I have to say about it:

Humanoid Work Droid captures that hollow, mechanical feeling, like you're moving, functioning, doing what’s expected, but your soul is offline. This corporate world strips people of identity, of autonomy, of humanness.

When life forces you into a loop of obligation with little room for authentic joy or rest, it’s no wonder motivation dries up. I'm not lazy or broken. Just burned out and running on fumes. I took everything I was carrying: the exhaustion, the frustration, the dehumanization. And I transformed it into something expressive.

This wasn’t just a project: this was my release. A reclaiming of my voice, my identity, my creativity.
I'm not a work droid, and never was. But it’s easy to forget who you are when the system tries to make you into something you’re not. Now I'm remembering.
