For Cadbury's Creme Egg lovers who love to eat a whole box of five (they come in glutonous eights too) in one go, look away now as the truth definitely will hurt!

For those who have never tried one, they're perfect for sweet tooth lovers everywhere: they're excessively sweet and super chocolatey with a gooey, fondant centre. Absolutely delicious! Now find out why you shouldn't eat them, missing out on such pleasure.

A single Creme Egg is 40g and contains 26g of sugar. That's 65% of the whole egg is pure sugar! In case you're not sure how much that is, it's almost the whole daily adult allowance and blows away a child's. You have been warned - and your enjoyment ruined. :)

There's this much cocaine sugar in each Creme Egg. A scary amount, isn't it?

I've eaten three in one go a very, very long time ago and thoroughly enjoyed them. Then, a while later, my body rebelled and I never did it again. If you had all five and weren't diabetic before, you will be afterwards! :ROFLMAO: If you had eight, then you have a deathwish my friend - but might be worth it?

This is the joy that you mustn't indulge in. Going full FOMO here.

To help you wallow in your misery at missing out a bit more, I've turned both of those pictures into jigsaw puzzles:

Here's the health article that ruined it all. Boohoo!

Good thing I've never had a sweet tooth. Even as a kid I didn't go for candy.

With that much sugar, one could argue that cocaine as an ingredient is actually a better alternative!
Also: that pile of sugar is almost twice as big as the egg itself. What gypsy voodoo black magic is this?!?

I hate you right now. My post is just as much taking the mickey out of myself as anyone else, as I love them! :ROFLMAO:

Yes, do that 20 piece puzzle! And do it on your smartphone for that extra pain too, lol.

It's possible that the pile of sugar isn't accurate, just put there for illustration, or maybe it's accurate and looks a lot less when it's dissolved and not spread out like that. If I had free sugar granules, I could have weighed 26g and seen how that looked. Alas, this isn't important enough to buy some only to throw it all away afterwards.

That's a lot of sugar in one egg, omg! I have a sweet tooth but that chocolate egg would be too much at once.😱 They are really good though. It's been years since I had one.

We all have something. While I generally don't like (overly) sweet stuff, my downfall is potato chips, or "crisps" as you call them in 'arry Po'ah land. Like seriously, if I open one of those big 200g bags, 9 out of 10 times I eat the whole damn thing in one go. Especially if I'm watching a movie or something. That's like a gorillion calories right there. Your curse is Cadbury's, my curse is Lay's/Walker's.
