A pill taken once a day cuts the risk of dying from lung cancer by half, according to “thrilling” and “unprecedented” results from a decade-long global study.

Taking the drug osimertinib after surgery dramatically reduced the risk of patients dying by 51%, results presented at the world’s largest cancer conference showed.

Lung cancer is the world’s leading cause of cancer death, accounting for about 1.8 million deaths a year. The results of the late-stage study, led by Yale University, were presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (Asco) annual meeting in Chicago.

This is wonderful; in fact there are already a number of cancers, albeit a very small number, that are no longer considered terminal. Only less then a couple of decades ago they were lethal. Now, with new scientific advances, they are either curable, or at least give people a much longer lease on life, and we are talking decades.
These are the kind of news I would welcome every day, rather then the horrible realities we keep hearing about.

This is good news for sure! Cancer treatments are often quite fascinating to follow as they are pushed through testing and offer dynamic methods compared to most medicines. Granted, this is due to the sad fact that cancer often means an untimely death and anything is generally a better outcome, but the research is still neat to follow.

The FDA, USDA, EPA, CDC, WHO have the cure but they want people to die and bank on people for treatments such as chemo which saps a person of their money and health. Parasites they all are.

Many instances of people who dont do chemo actually lived longer and enjoyed their life than being poisoned by mustard gas.

This smacks of pure conspiracy theory. You need some evidence to assert something like this with any credibility.

Many instances of people who dont do chemo actually lived longer and enjoyed their life than being poisoned by mustard gas.

There can always be edge cases. In the main though, if someone has cancer and the doctor orders chemo, they better follow that order or they'll die quickly.
