Oh man, I remember those. Concept is good, but terrible implementation. Slow and one is left highly vulnerable to being bullied on the road and / or run over. For these reasons, I'm glad it was a flop.
The grown up versions are of course the electric cars that we have today. However, battery technology still has some way to go before they can compete with petrol and diesel cars in all areas. If it wasn't for that, I'd be all-in with electric cars.
