The journey began nearly three months ago with this Lasko fan. I really want one with a dial and no beeper.
The Lasko 3-Speed Oscillating Performance Table Fan with a 16 inch blade delivers in both performance and design. An advanced grill design, soft white body with metallic accents, and a 6-position pivoting fan head all blend together to create the ultimate in cooling airflow. Optional oscillation...

It was damn noisy! I had it on low. The higher speeds were even noisier, but probably pushed enough air. To clarify, this is the electronic growling noise from the motor, not the whooshing sound of the moving air. I ended up returning it.
I bought a small air circulator which ended up not being able to push enough air volume at~850 CFM but also wasn't as noisy. On high it moved about as much air as the Lasko did on low.
DREO Fox One 9" whole room air circulator with 70ft far-reaching airflow, 120° adjustable tilt, and 3 speeds.

It has a new home on my dresser and runs on low 24/7 to augment my ceiling fan. The motor is inaudible so I guess the advertised noise level of 28db is accurate.
Maybe I'll have more luck with a tower fan.
The Lasko 42" Wind Curve Tower Fan is a sleek and versatile addition to any room. With 3 quiet speed settings, you can customize the airflow to your preference. The Nighttime Setting automatically reduces the fan speed and dims the control lights for a peaceful slumber. The electronic auto-off...

Nope. Pathetic. Weak. That tiny Dreo fan pushes more air on low than this thing does on high. Luckily the ebay seller accepts returns , so back it goes. Not worth the price, and I didn't even pay the MSRP!
And then I try the Dreo tower . Amazon says that it has lwo returns, so it must be good. Right?

Slightly more powerful. This is what I currently have running until my next option arrives.
A slight refresher
My room ends up quite hot because of my computer which has the AMD equivalent of a 2070 Super. Ceiling fan is on from April through October. A tall skinny fan is in the hallway pushing "cool" air from the rest of the house which helps immensely and brings down the temperature of my room by probably five degrees. Don't have a thermometer so cannot say for sure
That is the same fan mentioned in the OP. None of the Honeywell fans available for sale today look quite like theirs.
