This is annoying. A few years ago Steam got hacked, putting the credit card details of its customers at risk, although they hadn't all been stolen. I had mine on there and even though I wasn't a victim, I removed them as a precaution in case of future hacks and only entered the card details when making a purchase, without letting Steam store them. Now, to comply with the OSA and avoid potential huge fines, Steam requires those card details or their users can't access adult content. Great, so now I either don't add them and get locked out, or add them and run a risk of card theft. What a choice. On top of that, one can be locked out of other areas of Steam too. I haven't decided what to do yet.

This video is a must for every Steam user as it explains it all in great detail and how it's a pretty ineffective form of access control anyway.
