2025 has been an interesting year for me. At times I went through high peaks and deep valleys, particularly emotional highs and lows. It has given me food for thought about what I need and don't need in my life. Long story short, it will be mostly about simplifying (daily) life for myself. I thrive when I can focus on just a few things, having too much going on makes me sperg out in weird ways at times.
Which brings me to my resolutions for 2026 (and onward):
Work: even when it's busy, I've learned to find and appreciate a certain tranquility in the repetition and structure it provides. The goal is to keep this up and see where I will stand exactly one year from now.
Internet: the amount of time this has been consuming has been such a waste. Particularly on the smartphone this has been the case. Much of the present day internet with all the ragebait and engagement farming is not even worth it. I will be cutting down screen time considerably.
Outdoors: in extension of not being terminally online, I think it would be good for me to spend some more time outside in my free time. Especially since my garden definitely needs some work done. Maybe build some stuff, too..
Bonding: Spending even more time with my kitties. They have a great positive impact on me. And they deserve all the love they can get.
Complex carbohydrates: what could benefit my body and therefore mind, especially in relation to the things I have mentioned above, would be to minimize the intake of starchy foods. Maybe lose a stone or two.
