2025 has been an interesting year for me. At times I went through high peaks and deep valleys, particularly emotional highs and lows. It has given me food for thought about what I need and don't need in my life. Long story short, it will be mostly about simplifying (daily) life for myself. I thrive when I can focus on just a few things, having too much going on makes me sperg out in weird ways at times.

Which brings me to my resolutions for 2026 (and onward):

👷🏻‍♂️ Work: even when it's busy, I've learned to find and appreciate a certain tranquility in the repetition and structure it provides. The goal is to keep this up and see where I will stand exactly one year from now.
📱 Internet: the amount of time this has been consuming has been such a waste. Particularly on the smartphone this has been the case. Much of the present day internet with all the ragebait and engagement farming is not even worth it. I will be cutting down screen time considerably.
🌱 Outdoors: in extension of not being terminally online, I think it would be good for me to spend some more time outside in my free time. Especially since my garden definitely needs some work done. Maybe build some stuff, too..
🐈‍⬛ Bonding: Spending even more time with my kitties. They have a great positive impact on me. And they deserve all the love they can get.
🍞🚫 Complex carbohydrates: what could benefit my body and therefore mind, especially in relation to the things I have mentioned above, would be to minimize the intake of starchy foods. Maybe lose a stone or two.
What are your plans for 2026?

I selected not interested as I've never been able to keep to them for more than 5 minutes, so I don't bother anymore. More power to you though if you can make something of it.

Hitcore, I hope you achieve your goals, especially bonding with your cats even more. :) Good luck in staying away from the moreishness of the internet though! :p

Thank you. 🙂 Seeing my kitties living the best life I can offer is bliss to me. 😻😻😻😍

Good luck in staying away from the moreishness of the internet though!

Living more analog I think would also be good for me. Of course I'll still be here. Just a little bit less.
What I'm mostly on about is, for example, mindlessly doomscrolling YouTube Shorts, that's something I could do without. A lot less 4chan hopefully also un-fries my brain a bit. That site has very much two sides: either the funniest content you'll ever see, or the most depressing blackpilled stuff. 🎭

Those are all good New Year's resolutions! I hope this year brings you more joy as you continue to strive for the best balance and certainly more cuddle time with your kitties is always an awesome way to spend your day.

I honestly haven't thought about mine but in general it's always the same which includes working out everyday staying the most fit for my age and try to keep any health issues smoldering instead of on fire while consuming the foods I can tolerate with keeping in mind nutrition. Always having good times with my family, enjoy my furry friends in which I have two in my lap at the moment while I'm typing on the keyboard and to cherish my friendships both in real life and online. I want to try to keep things real lol. When under pressure try not to freak out and breathe and to bring on 2026 in a positive way knowing this is going to be a big year in many ways of my life.

That looks like a good motivational poster to put in a daycare or in any healthcare facility 😺
