For the life of it I can't find the screenshots because I keep way too much unsorted shit, but about 5 years ago it was rumoured on 4chan that Facebook someday would do this very thing: keeping relatives "alive" through AI.
Outside of that message board the rumour was perceived as far fetched, and it got ridiculed.
I thought it was an interesting discussion, and extrapolated along, with the idea that some day the the number of deceased "users" will outnumber the living ones, dubbing the platform Deadbook.
There's definitely something to Dead Internet Theory, and we should listen to internet schizos more often.
