Any PC gaming enthusiast will be interested in the latest generation of NVIDIA graphics cards and such info can be found widely on the web now that the cards were officially launched at CES the other day. However, I decided to post this particular news video about them, because of the silly mispronounciation of NVIDIA on an MSI marketing video and the way that Steve Burke, sorry, Tech Jesus, of Gamers Nexus took the mickey out of them so mercilessly. 😄

Don't get me started on GPU prices...

I've just upgraded my PC, but am sticking with my trusty RTX 2080 for now. I want to get the RTX 5090 as I get top end components whenever I can, but not at 2 grand, even if I could afford it easily, which I can't. That price is absolutely insane. I might end up buying the RTX 5070 Ti in a few months as a compromise, we'll see. I also don't want to hear any stories of power connectors catching fire before shelling out good money for a card, like we did with the RTX 40 series.

Despite its age, I can actually game at 4K on it, if I choose a game that's not too demanding and 1080p for more demanding ones is fine. Also, I have a variable refresh rate monitor now, so hitting 144Hz with no dropped frames for smooth gameplay is no longer a requirement, or put another way, I can game just fine on a lower spec PC. Been playing Rainbow Six | Siege lately with friends at 4K and high quality settings and the fps stays at 144Hz or near there the whole time, making the animation and visuals sublime. That game is tough as nails though, damn. Fabulous option if you're looking for a frustrating time, lol.
