This is one of many things I find baffling about the US. Toys that look like guns are banned, but acquiring real guns is easy.

The maker of this thing claim it's only available to those who are "legally permitted to own a gun"... but there aren't exactly a great deal of legal restrictions on who is permitted to own a gun.

I'd love to live in the US, one of the big cities, but the gun culture there scares the hell out of me. One little car accident or argument with someone and I could get my head blown off.

Mind you, there are rather too many gangsters with illegal guns here in the UK too, unfortunately.

Indeed, these things are so upsetting to me, that I try not to read articles where a school is shot up, little kids murdered by their parents and similar stuff. I really hate it. Why can't people just be nice?
