Yeah. It reminds me of "my spoon is too big", an internet classic that's 20+ years old.

Same category of weirdness, but the onion one is even more messed up.
Still fascinating to watch.

Edit: no I take that back. After reviewing I must conclude that they're EQUALLY MESSED UP 😧

Edit2: What have I posted, my memory supressed most of these things 🤯

Edit3: OH GOD I AM SORRY RETRO 🫣

@Retro in about two weeks I'm getting a visitor. One of your fellow countrymen. He's a northerner.

You come off as a southerner to me (because nerds do not live up north). Is this video accurate? 😁

While there is definitely an element of irony in answering a question on gun law and then getting shot only moments later, I must address that the right to bear arms does not equal "the right to get shot" (what kind of right is that?).
It's kinda like: people may have the right to have a can of spray paint. Doesn't mean you have the right to get your house graffiti'd.

Now, whether or not people should have the right to bear arms is a different discussion. Either way: "the right to get shot" is phrase that doesn't really make sense, at least not to me.

To give this post -- in the spirit of this thread -- a humorous element, here is a visualization of the right to bear arms.

Alternatively, some believe in the right to arm bears.

Discuss.

I get where that phrase is coming from and it's sarcasm that's very well phrased.

Allowing the general population to bear arms the way they do means that one is more likely to get shot*, which has been happening for decades and this time the victim was him, hence he "had the right to get shot". If he'd been against such widespread gun use, then this meme wouldn't exist and instead there would be one praising him for being a hero who died for a just cause.

While, of course, it wasn't right to murder him, if you Google him, you'll see that he was quite a poisonous Trumpian character who was close to Trump. The irony for me, is that I'd never heard of him before he got shot, despite him being clearly well known and able to pull in large crowds.

*Think scenarios like road rage, or those brave gunmen who go shooting up schools full of 5 year olds for no reason. This is just the tip of the iceberg and that's what happens by allowing all and sundry to bear arms, which happens an awful lot over there. It's a big reason why I'm glad I don't live in that country as the increased possibility of getting shot scares me.

We must of course remember Stephen King had to make a public apology and withdraw a tweet that indicated Charlie KIrk advocating violence against gays. How often does this occur?

Here is Charlie Kirk defending gay lifestyle against an extremist who does hate them. Now if you read most of the press you'd think Charlie Kirk hated gays.

@Geffers Yes, he defended gays here to be fair, good find, but his whole manner is quite extreme and he didn't like trans people. The guy who shot him was dating a trans "woman", so you can see where the motivation to kill him could have come from. The authorities still can't get him to explain his motivation, apparently.

Kirk was also filled with a lot of hate, generally. This video shows a few clips at the start where he even advocates for the death penalty for Biden, which I found disgusting. If that isn't hate speech then I don't know what is and you can be sure if that was a Dem saying that about a Rep, Trump would have shut them down, just like he did with Jimmy Kimmel, so quite the hypocrite. I can see why some people hated Kirk and I still can't get over that I'd never heard of him before he was shot.

Oh right, now I get it. I thought it related to the previous post about Charlie Kirk. Good one, lol. Good song, too.

Here's the song and here is also his YouTube channel description.

I'm an ordinary man who has lived an extraordinary life. I have been to Japan, Russia, Korea, Hong Kong, Egypt, Germany, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Puerto Rico, every state in America including Alaska and Hawaii. I have met and dined with Presidents and Sultans, Princes and Kings. Most and above all I have met God.

Facepalm, hard. Delusion, much? Pretentious, too.

When I was about 9 there was a kid in my class who participated in the Mini Playback Show, a program where kids dressed up as their favorite artists would lip-sync to songs and do a little dance with it. He did U Can't Touch This, which was massively popular at that time. He won that particular show, mostly because he had some slick moves. Before the show he was a quiet kid, almost shy. Afterwards I remember him being perpetually smug and even arrogant for the remainder of that school year.
It seems that there's something about that song that has that effect on people. 😄

Charlie Kirk: On one hand defending gays, on the other hand comparing legitimate abortion to the holocaust, death to Biden...give us a break man.
Thing is, like in most cases of demagogues and tyrants, one always finds something in their ideas that one can identify with; e.g. for me, it is his defence of Israel or his support for the right of every citizen to bear arms.

Still, on the whole he was a hate-mongering Trumpist.
Anyway, now we talk about him in the past tense, which is not a bad thing.

You all know Aldi, right? What if I were to say that there are in fact two Aldis? More about that in the following Wiki:

It has been going on since the 1960s. And the Aldi war is getting out of hand. Below a map of the situation in Germany as of 2022.

IMG-20240216-WA0012.webp

To this day they are still firing artillery consisting of all sorts of food products at each other. Breads bombs, canned tomatoes projectiles, and yoghurts that are being dropped by drones, mimicking very large seagull poops. It's devastating. I hope that some day the wall between the north and the south will come down.

Nena is reportedly writing a song called 99 Sauerkrauts.

Crikey, I've learned something new today. We've got the one with the daker logo, Aldi Sud, over here. I like the idea of them being "at war" in that silly way lol.

That's not actually funny. It looks like a protest about the police having the wrong priorities.
