Metal Slug on the Atari STE/Amiga

I'm a massive fan of Nazca/SNK's Metal Slug series - got the first on Saturn, and the collection for Wii - so always interested to see new versions turn up. Looks like a conversion to the STE is well in hand:

I'm a bit put off by the flickering stipple patterns as an attempt to increase the apparent colour depth, and the sprites aren't quite there yet, but it looks as though the STE would/will do a good job of replicating the game.

Following up on this, there's also MiniSlug on the Amiga, though it seems to need a pretty hefty machine to run it. This is the most recent video showing its performance, but there are plenty of others on YouTube:

The big improvement this has over the STE version is the colour is much more vibrant and doesn't rely on stippling.
