Oh, shame. Set your VPN to UK and it should work. Have a look at the Snopes article, too.

So this dropped...
I find it interesting that Trump is calling for the Epstein files to be released, but the judge conveniently blocks it on a technicality. It's almost like Trump knew this would happen so is just making a show of releasing them knowing they won't be, isn't it?

It does appear that the law prevents release, but there's always a way round these things, so it's funny how that's such a brick wall, isn't it? I wouldn't put anything underhand past Trump.

Do not use a VPN. I have a static IP at the house and use it in almost every instance (as the XF folks could tell you since for at least 5 years I've had the same IP). I don't try to hide my IP or my sites visited since I don't go anywhere that I am ashamed of. The only exception is I occasionally use TOR to check Google for my site search results and that requires me to install TOR each time so not something I do regularly.

Oh well, getting around geoblocks is a valid reason though. However, it does cost money, so I wouldn't expect you to spend it just for this.

As we know, free VPNs are almost malware and fairly ineffective so are to be avoided at all costs.

Not for me. I'm not going to jump through hoops to see something on a site that they don't want me to access because of my location. I'm not that "nosey" in the end run.
Now, on my phone it is different since i use their function to "hide" my IP and it may allow me through - but I rarely use my phone for the internet other than specific applications... but on my desktop.. I have chosen to not jump through hoops. You want me to visit.. then you can accept my static IP.. you don't then that is fine also as I usually don't really care to pursue the data that much as it is not "life and death" to me.. so for those that do absolute geo-blocking.. you can KMA. Even I don't block on my site... I do use a challenge function though for certain origination points.

I really dislike geo blocking myself. Remember when they first started doing it on DVDs? That's just downright offensive.

Let's hope that the dissatisfaction with Trump in the MAGA base grows to a crescendo by the midterms, giving the Republicans a whipping.

As of late, Donald Trump's MAGA base has NOT been happy with him. From his mishandling of the Epstein files to bombing Iran, Trump seems to be backtracking on many of his campaign promises, and his support, even from high-profile names, is slipping.

A Reddit post by a MAGA voter has recently gone viral for breaking down five reasons why they are abandoning Trump and planning to vote blue in the 2026 midterms.

The White House press office went out of their way to release an official response less than 12 hours after the latest South Park episode aired. Dumbest thing they could do is acknowledge the show even aired. They go on to call it a 4th rate show but its important enough to warrant a statement from the White House? Very snowflake-like behavior.

This is a very good debunk of conspiracy theories that Trump staged the assassination attempt. I just wonder why this journalist made this a year after the event happened as the video is only 4 days old making this very old news.

OK, well, at least I have one positive thing to share: Trump threatened to cease all negotiations with Thailand and Cambodia regarding tariffs. Currently, both countries, heavily dependent on exports to the US, face 36% tariffs on exports, placing their manufacturers at a manor disadvantage compared to their neighbouring counterparts, like Vietnam who’ve negotiated a tariff of 20% or less.

Well, let’s just hope the ceasefire holds, but I wouldn't hold my breath given the length of time of this war with constant outbreaks of fighting, although nothing this bad has ever been witnessed.

I'm looking forward to the time when the SC finally rules that the way Trump is waving tariffs around is not what the law allows and they all get reset to what they were.

I believe you're thinking of executive orders as he doesn't like any pushback or disagreement.

They're easier to overturn though.

I assume he’s been using some kinda emergency doctrine, right?
For his tariffs... yep.
Basically he declared a "national emergency" because he thinks other countries are doing the US dirty in business.
He also has used the "fentanyl crisis" as an argument to justify tariffs... never mind that in the case of Canada in which he did so the fentanyl that comes across the boarder from there is around 1% of the totals.

He's trying to twist the meaning of the law to fit his political view and not what it was written for.
In reality... Congress controls tariffs. They have allowed the Presidents to act on their own with valid justification.
I have a feeling when the mid-terms sweep the Democrats into the majority you will see some of those abilities removed from the President and the tariffs then revoked.

What a surprise, after rigging the general election as I've been documenting on here so much, Trump wants to rig the midterms too. Unless the people in power wake up to this and start fighting "fire with fire" as Adam Schiff puts it in this video, he's gonna succeed yet again and the corruption and rot will go even deeper.

Yes, Schiff is a Democrat so you could accuse him of bias, but you don't really expect a Republican to admit to this, do you? Just listen carefully to what he has to say, it's not bias.

Gerrymandering has always been a thing. It is done by both the Democrats and the Republicans.
If the state does not legislate when the district lines are drawn then it is not "cheating". That's why there are several states that limit when and who can draw the redistricting maps.
And the fact is by law, the states themselves control aspects of how they do the voting and the districts. This video shows that by what Newsome states. The issue they have is that they do (by law) have a commission that redraws those lines. It is really what needs to be done by all states. But the issue is that those in power work to keep themselves in power.

To circle back to this... there is a case pending with oral arguments scheduled for today (Thursday 07/31/2025) on appeal that deals with some of his action and the law he has based them on.
This is the case that came out of the US Court of International Trade and is on appeal over his (mis)use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977. It will probably go up to the Supreme Court eventually, and will not necessarily stop him from using different laws which are also on the books.

In over 50 years of these type laws being on the books they have never been abused in this manner.... and it is why I mention that when the mid-terms are held and if the Democrats do gain power, one of the first things they will probably do is modify or remove these laws and take back Congressional control of tariffs and remove the President from the equation.
