Let’s hope he’s held accountable for once, but I wouldn’t hold my breath
So far the appeals court that heard the governments arguments did not seem to be buying it. From watching comments from a few that keep an eye on how those things trend based upon the oral arguments, the appeals court will be 9-2 at the lowest against the government. The next step would be the SC. That's where it will be interesting since there is a large majority of legal scholars that agree that under the act he used he does not have the authority as that was targeted more towards sanctions for short periods of time until issues resolved.

Definitely don't. So far he's unbelievably got away with every critical win, so bringing him down looks like a very long shot indeed now, unfortunately, especially with the way he's corrupted the government, DOJ and more all to serve his own crooked interests. The best weapon against Trump now is Father Time hopefully helping him to croak it sooner rather than later.

Here's a fine example of Trump rewriting history. Where's that information at the Smithsonian about his two impeachments gone?

Back in March, President Donald Trump signed an executive order targeted at the Smithsonian Institution that began as follows: “Over the past decade, Americans have witnessed a concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our Nation’s history, replacing objective facts with a distorted narrative driven by ideology rather than truth.”

Despite the high-minded rhetoric, many worried the order was instead a thinly veiled effort to rewrite history more to Trump’s liking. The order, for example, cited a desire to remove “improper ideology” – an ominous phrase, if there ever was one – from properties like the Smithsonian.

Those concerns were certainly bolstered this week. We learned that some historical information that recently vanished from the Smithsonian just so happens to have been objective history that Trump really dislikes: a reference to his two impeachments.

So, after endlessly fawning at Putin, Trump makes a provocative move with a couple of nuclear subs, bringing nuclear conflict that much nearer. Neither option is good. There's a way to help Ukraine, but this isn't it.

President Donald Trump issued a rare threat of nuclear escalation on Friday, saying he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be strategically positioned near Russia in response to what he said were aggressive remarks by Dmitry Medvedev, the country’s former president and current deputy chairman of its Security Council.

“I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Addressing the matter later with reporters, he said the move was an effort to be “prepared.”

“He was talking about nuclear,” Trump said. “When you talk about nuclear, we have to be prepared, and we’re totally prepared.”

@AllThingsTech yes, time to do your homework! :p

Everyone, here's an interesting analysis on why Trump can't shake the Epstein scandal.

President Donald Trump ― a figure so immune to controversy, he’s earned the nickname “Teflon Don” ― may have finally met the one news story he can’t bluster his way out of.

No matter how hard he tries to either ignore it or change the subject, the president’s links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein won’t stop following him — and even part of his conservative base is having trouble grappling with it.

Awesome. Let's calculate what 100 bucks worth of drugs with 1500% discount would get ya!

1500% of $100 = 15 × $100 = $1500 discount.
So:
Final price = $100 - $1500 = -$1400

The pharmacy (or chemist as you Britishes would say) would owe you $1400 to take the drugs.
Infinite money glitch!! 🤪

You want to see the simple stupidity of Trump? I really can't see how the MAGA cult continues to support him. He continues to lie (and it is easily proven to so to be so) and yet they drool when they mention his name.

I found watching that very frustrating, because despite all the bullshit that this illegitimate president keeps spewing, the MAGA cult fools just keep lapping it up. That puts the joke on us. I'm applying this to everyone who can see through his lies too, including the rest of the world, as we're all stuck with him now because of those MAGA fools.

Well I can save @AllThingsTech some time: I've browsed through the video and it's not really worth watching. On one side you have Trump who isn't always the sharpest knife in the cutlery drawer. Then on the other side you have CNBC and MeidasTouch that represent Team Orange Man Bad. What you get is a shitshow from both sides that's mostly raking up old grievances. It's like watching something as vapid as the Jerry Springer show, but with fewer chairs flying around.

I'd love to see real journalism about CURRENT events where Trump would constantly be bombarded about the Epstein list. Because, you know, that's kind of a big deal. But it is not in the interest of the mainstream media to be too pushy about it, because ultimately the outcome of that list (if it ever were to be publicized) would be too disruptive for them too and they know it.

For more reference to what I mean by that I refer to my posts on page 69 of this thread, with post #1709 in particular.

The video called out Trump's constant lies, immediately debunking them. Dunno why you don't think that's good. The only shitshow is Trump and you know that.

I'm sure there are Epstein scandal videos too if you want to watch them.

@AllThingsTech you expect us to watch these videos and then write up their contents in a post to save you the bother of watching them? You're kidding, right?
Just to clarify, I meant an article if you came across one that made the same points. Not making extra homework for you, not asking you to write out an article just for me! 😆 Never mind :P

Looks like sanctions against Russia are finally starting to really bite.

Russia's revenue from oil and gas has plunged recently, putting further pressure on Moscow to end its war in Ukraine.

In July, Russian President Vladimir Putin's administration collected 787.3 billion rubles, or $9.8 billion, from oil and gas revenue — 27% lower than a year ago, according to the country's finance ministry on Tuesday.

The decline in energy tax revenue further strains Russia's budget, which posted a deficit of 3.7 trillion rubles, or 1.7% of GDP, in the first half of the year. Oil and gas remain vital to Russia's economy and to funding its war, now in its fourth year.

That funding is now under threat on multiple fronts.
